Hi there, I am a newbie here, I just joined today. I am not sure if this is relevant, but my account is working and here is what I have been doing.
Before I knew about Pokefarmer, I purchased 5 botted accounts online from a vendor. It didn't cost me very much so I was willing to gamble the ban. IN the meantime I decided to research HOW to bot so I wasn't buying accounts in the future. All the accounts were banned within a few days (they were a part of the last ban wave apparently)
I began using PF about 10 days ago. I have not received a ban yet. I have only one account I am experimenting with. I created the account by creating a gmail email. Then moved to phone and set up PG as a new player. Went back to gmail and verified account and I played for a little bit on my phone and later that night used BF.
I put my toon/avater (what do you guys call it?) in a spot where I play in Utah (the salt lake mormon temple) and it has a zillion pokie stops. It is set on walk 3.6kmh. I have it keeping 3 highest cp/iv and I log into it every few days on my Ipad and play like normal. I actually delete the potions and razzberry's myself and transfer some of the pokemon to candy, I have changed her clothing and turned the music/sound effects/battery saver on and off and did many of things you would do IF you were playing normally.
Yesterday, a dragonite popped about 5 miles from my house and I took her out and she caught it (I drove in the car and logged in for the first time that day on my iPad). I bot about 3 or so hours at a time. I haven't traveled or sniped, just played in the same spot over and over (which is what I do to my main account), and occasionally log her in by my house, outside the city and play in a dragonite rich area that is fairly remote and has only 4 PS. If I move, I give it the same amount of time it would take me to drive there.
Not sure if Niantic does this in waves? But so far this is working really well for me. It is very slow going. She is now a level 20, almost 21.
