Blizzard downloader do perform tons of updates on daily basis, but only those, which do actually change the wow executables do flag as client patches, and you can discover them, by the changed Client version number, aka 7.03 (22423), as pointed in the screenshot.
If this number do NOT change, then we have NO different WoW patch, but we are still on the same.
Another way is to attempt to attach the Honorbuddy client to WoW, if it attach, we have NO change again!
On different version of WoW, the Honorbuddy client will never attach to it!
