Newbie question : Any way to skip quests in Patch 1.04 when leveling?

Is there any exploit or trick to skip content or quest lines? I've been using some of the leveling profiles for a new character but I still need to run through the quest line.

If I have to run through all the quests anyways ... Is there any point to botting for leveling purposes?

I've heard that the best way is to enter a public game and just afk in town until a boss battle. Is that risky?

Why don't you kill bosses for your toon yourself (with main account) and let the bot level stupididly without quests?

E.G. Act 1, invite your toon with your main, kill all the bosses you like, then let the bot farm for itself until he's ready to act 2 etc.
