Hello. I started a fresh bot acc, all I ever traded to it was a couple of bags and some gold for skills, and also I've traded back 1k gold to my main acc that I also have RAF with, in all this is very strange to me. I've run pretty much 24/7 since i started a week ago.

Account Name: WOW1

Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This suspension happened because one or more characters on the account were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behaviour is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Impact of Buying Gold - Services - World of Warcraft

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment: Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure."

Does anyone know how they found out I'm "exploiting the economy"?

Thanks.

This is what got you "I've run pretty much 24/7 since i started a week ago." you just cant run a bot 24/7 It's like pissing into the wind and wondering why your trousers are wet!! Don`t go 24/7 without changing profile or do some randome thing like BG`s or dung and you have to take breaks now and then just make sure that you do something different from time to time. No human can go for 24/7 right??

Love to you all // Forvirrad

lol you should be grateful it's only 72 hours. They just say "exploiting the economy" for basically anything. I personally never sent gold to any other account nor traded it and got a permaban for "exploiting the economy" (but got it back).

Keys to botting without getting into trouble?

Moderation and keep it quiet.

The moderation gets 99% of the botters since they are greedy. They will harvest the same area 24/7 and some will even report other bots just so they can get the spoils instead. Limit yourself/account/character activity to look like a regular casual player. Not one that will do 12 to 18 (or more) hours everyday

Keeping it quiet is a hard thing. Your characters level pretty good pace if you do the questing. However, you could easily find yourself with loads of products/gold. This draws a slight flag. And if you ever try to get rid of it in large quantities, you can almost guarantee that you will be calling in for account support.

This ban seems to be yet just another one of those that falls into these categories. Nothing new for moderate botters to be worried about.

I am also thinking that gaming 24/7 for a week was the issue here. And speaking of "not changing profiles" chat etc... Please

The account is 1 week old, I havent even got to level 85 yet, hence how could I stay in the same spot all the time? I used kick's profile for the most part, wich means different zones appropiate for my level for those of you who dont know.
However I believe that blizzard must have scanned accounts that's been online for a week without logging of for a long time.
