Should I bot WoW?
I have never botted WoW before but it seems interesting and I would like to try it so I have a few Questions to ask you guys.
I have botted OldSchool Runescape though to a multiple 99 account, which I will be selling to pay for this bot.

Questions.
1. How is the ban rate? High-Medium-Low? I would only bot 4-7 hrs a day. Is that safe?
2. Best way to level 1-100? Is it even possible and if so can I just bot quests automatically lets say while I am at school or do I need to provide constant input? Also can I just get the bot to run dungeons to 100? Lets say leveling a healer,tank,hunter through dungeons or quests?
3. Is there a farm dungeon script? I want to end up getting cool mounts. Is there a script that can do weekly runs throughout all the dungeons or certain ones?
4. Do I need to buy HonorBuddy + Scripts or do the scripts come with HonorBuddy & are there any good free ones?
5. I have seen people talk about profiles. What are those?

Thank you for taking time to read about my post. I would like to hear what you think about the whole botting situation and some tips and tricks to help reduce bans etc.
 
you are fine just quest 1-100 and yes to everything else.. read the forums and subforums get you the bot.. grab a coke and smile

Lets say leveling a healer,tank,hunter through dungeons or quests? 1-100 Questing is available through Buddy Team/Leveling in Dungeons is possible as well. but now your partied with real players more likely to accuse you of botting and reporting.

4. Do I need to buy HonorBuddy + Scripts or do the scripts come with HonorBuddy & are there any good free ones? PAID is not ALWAYS best. But the Buddy Team has most of the basics covered. If you want end game raid and PVP youll have to purchase a good routine.
5. I have seen people talk about profiles. What are those? Basic Profiles written in XML format to guide honorbuddy on what to do. ( Fly to These X,Y,X Coords and Farm or pick up qu

Thank you for your help. I would like to clarify what you mean when you say,"Is usually Safe AFK not usally safe unless your using plugins to monitor activity". What I understand AFK to be is away from keyboard which is basically not playing game and letting it level for you. Then you say not usually safe unless your using plugins? What plugins and is it a challenge to get these plugins?
I would like to level through questing I guess because you don't really have too much interaction that way. Does the HonorBuddy have a script for that for free? Also will I need the plugin for it?

For leveling 1-100 do I need to use these profiles in any way or does HonorBuddy have me covered. I imagine once I become 100 for example that some of these profiles can be used for goldfarming right? But.. would their ban rate be higher or about the same as everything else. I would imagine it is higher since you basically copy what the person does with maybe no random inputs or human like inputs.

In general with questing there is a chance that bot might get stuck for various reasons. If you are not there to unstuck it manually your char might get noticed by other players and reported.
Some plugins (like LogMeOut) attempt to address these stucks. Check plugins subforum here and use the search function.
 
Bot in wow expecting to get banned, then you cant ever be disapointed, this coming from a Vet with over 8 accounts banned to date always learning from my mistakes, besides using a bot...

WHOS READY FOR A FRESH ACCOUNT? I AM, I AM! Literally reinstalling wow now after 6 months gone.
 
O nice :) I started botting yesterday and went from 30-45 doing dungeon queues. I make sure to type in dungeons here and there so people think i am human
 
New to wow - learn how to play first.

Amazed that a brand new mmo player goes straight to *****ing. This is the newest generation folks. Thanks blizzard.

I played for 6+ years before botting and that was after about 10 years of mmos prior to that without botting.

Only started because other people were doing it and it's bullshit, and I likely would have quit anyways.

In your case, the motive is meh no matter what.

May be time to return to offline games soon. Not sure a single online game exists without *****ers. It's too bad but kids nowadays are all about instant gratification and something for nothing. These games shoulda came out in the 60s IMO :p

Is it weird I like to bot more and watch my character progress then actually play the game 4 hrs a day?

1. Low. As long as you don't bot high risk things such as grinding Felblights or using BGBuddy. Safest its been in a long time.
2. RAFing dungeons with quests from 90-100 are the best.
3. Ya, check the store.
4. You will probably need to buy a lot of scripts; HB is a shell of what it once was.
5. The things which make the bot do things.

Read the forums and search it; you'll learn heaps.
 
I go straight into botting now for any new MMO's dont hate me for hating leveling and grinding. I want to play the endgame of an mmo and that is it.

I wouldn't buy #4 honestly. There is a TON of good free profiles. There may be a rare profile you really want and pay for, but it's usually worth it in that case.
 
I mean this isn't my first MMO also. I played Rift 1-60 etc. I get the basics I just would rather play LoL or CSGO with my friends instead of sitting there grinding WoW. I do think I will play 1-100 sooner or later to experience the lore/story & questing just not right now.
 
1) Depends entirely on what you're botting, and your realm. You can go from getting banned within hours to getting banned within months.

2) Questing. Use Kick's 1-100 profiles, it's heavily and actively maintained by EchoTiger and Kick. If you run across an issue, report it to EchoTiger and he will fix it within minutes.

3) Tons, EchoTiger is your man for anything dungeon farm related. He has profiles for every dungeon, and he doesn't charge for anything.

4) The only thing that comes with Honorbuddy is botbases. A botbase is a 'base' in which profiles operate ontop of.

5) Profiles are instruction sheets. It tells the botbase what to do. ex: If you're using the Fishing botbase, a profile would tell it where to fish.
