Hey guys,

This is my second week using HB and I'm still getting used to it (but love it so far). Just a few questions about updates and blizz patches. Should I use HB immediately after a regular patch (not a big one, but a normal tuesday patch, like what occurred this morning)? I guess I still have the newbie jitters about being banned. I know it's always a possibility that Warden gets improved covertly which each hotfix, but should I be concerned that there may be security issues immediately after a normal tuesday downtime?

Perhaps I'm just looking for reassurance from veteran botters :)

Oh, and sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong spot, but it is a general question.

Thanks,

TC

EDIT: I just realized this wasn't the general section, but its the HonorBuddy general section :P haha, sorry about the mix-up.

Hey there :). First of welcome and yea HB is awsome. Its important that you don't bot on a account you are afraid to lose, you are ofc welcome since its not my choice. Blizzard regurely throws out smill hotfixes after new patches not to be worried about. If HB should get detected(witch i srsly doubt) they got a tripwire, and they will shut off connections to HB so you can't connect to HB. I myself but after maintenance and never had a problem about it. All in all its up to you. And keep your self updated on the forums is always a good idear. Hope it helped.

Edit: If im wrong in something here, feel free to correct me :)

Also worth adding that if Boss thought there was anything of concern he would take HB & GB down so you wouldnt be able to authenticate it. In reality with all the staff cuts at Bliz I expect they cannot afford to work too hard on detection!

Thanks for the reply,

I had no idea about the tripwire thing. i really need to read up on the HB mechanics and whatnot but it seem that there is already a pretty good system in place to keep its users as safe as is possible.

As for my account, I'm not exactly afraid of losing it. Yes, it's a 50 dollar investment lost, but it's just a game and with HB as easy to use as it is, it probably wouldn't be too long before I have another account farming Shalozar again.

I asked my question because I was hesitant to start up HB today (I didn't) because I didn't want to "hand" blizzard my account if hotfixes general brought security risks, but it seems Bossland has that figured out for the most part.

Thanks for the warm welcome and responses!

TC
