New to Gatherbuddy

So I'm new to Gatherbuddy and just going to ask for possibly being pointed in the right direction for a few things. I don't need the answers just directional assistance if possible.

Using any Herb/Mine farming profile I can't find a way to defend myself no combat key settings or anything like that, Does it exist in this or do I need to get a plugin or write something myself to include combat?

Elemental Shaman, I followed a thread about GB1 http://www.thebuddyforum.com/gather...5-wow-4-0-1-shaman-elemental-gatherbuddy.html setup my bar 3 like it was and still no combat at all just stand there and eventually die.

I just deleted everything and started all over again, Not sure what was different but I'm good now thank you for responding
