New to Demon Buddy - How do I use followers

I've searched around and can't figure out if it's possible to use followers (e.g. templar). Any help is appreciated.

Well you don't control your followers without the bot, you simply hire them and they follow you, so I don't understand what do you want the bot to do?

Do I just manually hire them before starting? What if the bot recreates the game?

Hire one before you start bot. If you click on the picture of the one you hire you can give them a few items and select some skills for them.

When the bot makes a new game they will still follow you
