New rebornbuddy / FFXIV user

To the community,

Hello everyone I have just joined the buddyforum as well as just purchased the realmbuddy/ffxiv game. I understand that realmbuddy does not have a guide at the moment. I tried reading through some of the forum materials to get me started. I've downloaded rebornbuddy 1.0.157.0 file as well as FateHunter.zip and the BuddyWizard.exe.

If anyone could thoroughly explain what I have to do next in order to get this bot started that would be very appreciative. #noobislost :(

In order to better assist you, what is it that you would like the bot to do for you.
The drop down box in the upper right hand corner of the bot will give you a list of all your available options for using the bot.
Combat assist-you move-bot fights
Fate Bot- Fates
PVP-
Fishing-go to profiles forum and D/L profiles
Grinding-go to profiles forum and D/L profiles
Gathering-go to profiles forum and D/L profiles
Orderbot-is still pretty new, not much out for this yet. There is a 1-15 grinding profile

You will need to check your rebornbuddy folder and see if there there is a folder called Profiles. If not you will need to create one. This is where you will place all the profiles you D/L.
If you use Fishing, Mining, Botany profiles you will need to travel to the X,Y coordinates found in most profiles before starting the bot or they will not work. If the profile does not have coords you will need to look up the area online.

If you are going to do any kind of fighting it is recommended to go to https://www.thebuddyforum.com/rebornbuddy-forum/combat-routines/155220-magitek.html and install this combat routine.
 
I'm currently trying to set up the Fate bot. I have downloaded ExCombat and Magitek folders. Do I just drag them into the profiles folder of the Rebornbuddy folder? And could you clarify how I D/L these profiles. Sorry for the trouble. And thanks for the fast reply.
 
Magitek goes in the "Routines" folder and
The ExCombatAssist BotBase must be used if you want to heal your party!
Download the zip and place it in the "BotBases" folder.
 
After selecting fatebot from the drop down you are going to want to click on the button labeled "Bot Settings" and select your "min and max" lvl based on your characters level. You may also want to move the slider bar depending on when you want the bot to engage in boss fights.
 
Okay. I got that down. Possibly the last question. I get an error saying "you have not selected a routine to use, please do so, or hit the Cancel button" how should I fix this?

-The error pops after Logging in and selecting the character
-I seem to be on the right track. Bot is not attacking when reaching the Fate.

When you load Rebornbuddy what class are you currently using in the game? When rebornbuddy starts it looks at the class you are currently signed in with. After entering in your Rebornbuddy information it will popup a routine selection screen based on the class selected in game. You will either need to chose Kupo or Magitek. Any time you change your class in game you need to restart buddy as it is locked to the class you originally started buddy with.
 
I'm using a Theumaturge Black Mage. Is it okay if both the Magitek and Kupo files are in the same routines folder? It seems like the bot is going to the Fate, but once its there it just stands there and gets hit then dies.
 
After entering your key are you getting a popup as shown in the rebornbuddy manual to pick either Kupo or magitek? If you want to automatically load Magitek you can remove Kupo from the routines folder. What lvl is your BM? What lvl fate are you trying to do? Have you tried running just a grind profile to see if the bot attacks? If none of those things help I suggest posting your log file.
 
After logging into rebornbuddy, a box comes out that says my characters name and class on the top. Then it says [Thaumaturge]Kupo[Thaumaturge]. I can either select or cancel (I press select).
-Most of the times I get an error saying "you have not selected a routine to use, please do so, or hit the Cancel button" - I have both the Magitek and Kupo files in the routines folder.

It does not ask to pick either Kupo or magitek it auto-picks Kupo for me.
My BM is lvl 26
I'm trying to do Fates - Min. I put 22 and for max I put +5

I have not tried running a grind profile. I will have to research on that.

Please look over the rebornbuddy guide again specifically "Combat Routine Selection". There is a picture of what you should be seeing. There are 2 entries to choose from. You have to click on one of them and then select. If you only see 1 option that means that Magitek is not installed properly. The bot should still fight even if you only have Kupo. Are you clicking on [Thaumaturge]Kupo[Thaumaturge] before pressing the select button? If none of those options work you can either wait for a dev to look at the log file or try doing a fresh install. Create a new folder do not overwrite files in existing folder. Do not install any plugins or routine until you know for sure a clean install runs.
