New profile writer needs help

Hello I was wondering if someone could help me with the profile im writing. I am writing a profile to farm embersilk cloth in Twilight Highlands and I don't understand why the bot

a) Walks most of the time and not fly
b) doesn't avoid the blackspot i put in it
c) It will only target some of the mobs as it paths through and run right through others and i don't understand why it does that.

I have written it for Horde only right now since that's the only faction I play right now .
If someone could take a look at it and give me a few pointers on writing profiles i would be most thankful

Hi,

a) Your profile is a grind profile which will not support flight.
b) The navigation system calculates the optimum route. Blackspots are not "no entry zones", they are calculated by the nav system as a less desireable route to take.

Perhaps a good example is :

To get from one side of a lake to the other, the quickest route will be to mount and ride around the perimiter. But if there is no other route, swimming through the lake is the quickest route. A blackspot acts in a similar way, it tells the nav system it is a slower/less desireable route, a bit like traveling through water. Therefore the nav system will sum up all the available routes and work out the optimum route.

If there is no better route than through the blackspot, it will go through the blackspot.

c) From my very brief look at the area, it looks as though many of the Ogres you want to farm are already in combat with other NPCs. HB will (usually) not target mobs that are in combat to avoid poaching NPCs that another player may be attacking.

My suggestion :

There is no error in your profile that I can see without testing it. But there is a spot in Tol Barad that yeilds a good drop rate of embersilk cloth, but it is a busy area with people doing dailies.

the bot won't fly during grinding

you can code the quest bot to grind
you can code the quest bot to fly to / from repair / sell / mail if you want

Hi guys how do i write a quest profile to kill mobs with out actually being on a quest?
