So I happen to read and think I should share this with all of you which might be helpful!

Important Patch 4.0.3a News:
-----------------------------

Rumor has it that Patch 4.0.3a will be released on Tuesday, November
23rd.

Which would be phase 5, The Shattering...
What NOT To Expect:
? Creating worgen/goblin characters
? Worgen/Goblin start zones
? Archeology
? Professions past 450 (Illustrious Grand Master)
? Guild leveling
? Guild achievements
? Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor flight
? New Zones (80+)



What To Expect:
? Portals in Dalaran/Shattrath Removed
? Class trainers in Dalaran where portals once were
? New race-class combinations (excluding worgen/goblin)
? New Gnome/Troll starting areas
? Changes to existing zones
? New cata load screens
? New cata intro cinematic
? New cata login screen
? New music
? City Quartermasters, with rep tabards
? Bug fixes
? Class balancing
? Druids, paladins, priests, and shaman will have their talent
trees reset
? Experience required to gain levels 71 through 80 is being
reduced by 20%
? New tamable hunter pets (Monkey, fox, dog, and beetle, as well
as new skins for existing pet classes.)

also, taking this opportunity to thank our Devs/CC Makers/Profile/Plugin makers, to persistently updating HB+GB even though it seems really tiresome to whenever we're hit by a patch! -salutes-
 
I better move my characters out of Dalaran. They should now put AH in Dalaran and Shatt since portals are gone =(
 
got 2 accts at 70... hope bot is up before cata release so i can take advantage of that reduced xp.
 
Also another tip.

If you have level 80s, get them to Stormwind for Alliance and Orgrimmar for Horde.
This is the starting quest routes to 85.

ps: i think i better start leveling mages now. Now i'm finding a good excuse to start a mage toon! :rolleyes:

Its highly likely.

It is confirmed there is a extended maintenance on tuesday, with the fact that a few has gotten GMs to confirm its the 23rd. Plus Boub from MMO-Champion predicts the 23rd. Id say chances are good, for the 23rd.
 
It would be very strange if it wasnt this week. I just hope HB gets updated before the cataclysm launch..I need 21k rep with the netherwing and I doubt I can get that in a day (tomorrow) =/
 
i remember a blue post a while back saying that last patch would be about 2 weeks prior to expansion

I don't understand this. What a pain in the ass its going to be to get back and forth to sw. How could this improve the game play ?
 
It increases the time you need to play World of Warcraft :D
So you need more Gamecards ^^ ! Improvement ! :D

Think they mentioned somewhere that blizz will be adding class trainers and a AH in place of the portals.so pain for leveling toons should be minimal
 
it won't be logical for them to release it that close to thanksgiving (america). Im thinking they'll release it the tuesday after, but who knows
 
Please don't turn this into a release date guess thread. There is already 20 on the wow forums and mmo-champ forums and its just people yelling at each other. There is going to be a lot of things going on with HB at the time of the patch. The devs will have to redo the entire mesh, they will have to deal with the new security measures, however the major ones might be in cata instead. They also have to get questing working. Not only all of those but none of the vanilla profiles will do you any good so those will all have to change.

I believe cata is going to be an awesome change and from what I have seen and tested on the PTR questing goes a lot faster and being able to bot has greatly increased because of the changes to support it lol. The hard part is going to be rebuilding all the profiles and questing to work with HB. I am looking forward to it and hope to see what happens overall.

Same. I might actually start making some profiles once the shattering happens as I am on holidays in a week :D
 
hehe my intention wasnt to guess the release actually. Was just to update you guys in case it is really the patch this week, i guess i made the topic name somehow misleading. :)

as mentioned, if u are really wanting to level your toon to 85, stormwind for alliance, org for the horde.
also, in future, it seems like the portals are available only to the new zones, but not the major cities.. In order to unlock them, you got to unlock them in the specific zone before you can access the portals;)

If you are 68+, you'll hearth from where you are questing, to Dalaran to train, then fly back. Or fly to Dalaran, then hearth back to where you are questing. If you are 80+ you'll have an epic flying mount that'll get you to SW, so why do you need Dalaran or Shattrath? All the content will be in either Eastern Kingdoms, or Kalimdor. Not seeing the issue here, honestly.
