New laptop question

Hi folks,

need some advice for a new laptop computer. It should be able to run 4xWoW + 4xHB minimum.
CPU should be a i5 2nd generation (i5-2430m for example), and no! graphics card, it just has to use the built in intel graphics.

On my desktop it works like a charm with the Intel graphics, but is a mobile version of this CPU performant enough?

Anyone has experience on this? Is the Intel graphics able to handle a minimum of 4 WoW on lowest graphical settings?

I'm not sure why you want to bot with a laptop.

I have a intel i3 2nd generation laptop I bought a month or so ago. Its fine, only lags in org on good settings. Haven't tried it with any more since I only play on that by hand.

I reckon it could, with a bit of a struggle. CPU resources shouldn't be a problem, since i5 is good, and since the wow windows will be low settings (and resized to the smallest window?) it should be able to handle it.

i5 would be good for now and the future, i3 is a bit... out of date now but still good for normal personal use.

I'm also typing on an i3, but would prefer an i5.

well, i want to use the laptop not only for botting, i want to use it for everything else too (office, internet, etc.). it has to run sometimes for 24 hours a day and thats when the advantage of a laptop computer comes in... the power consumption. an i5 without additional graphics card will have a wattage of 50-90 Watts, while a desktop computer easily gets 150+ because of all the additional stuff in it that consumes lots of electricity. a laptop fits MY needs, but i'm not sure if a mobile intel graphics will be able to handle 4+ wows.

I think I used to run 3 or 4 copies on my i3, since I didn't have my botting PC... the in-built graphics (Intel HD) is good enough and I thought it wasn't but it's definitely underrated as it improves every month or every year as technology does.

I'd go for an i5, especially if you want to watch 1080p HD... laptops are mostly about the CPU, if you wanted a graphics card then it's best to get a PC since gaming on a laptop... nay.

Go for a refurbished model (saving ?50-100), I did... and it was like new as described, you could have sold it in PC World and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between my laptop and a brand new one same model.

Make sure to understand "Like New" on the site, so you can get some good deals and avoid the scratched monitor ones ;)... a few scratches on the laptop for a saving of ?100? yes please! (underneath or somewhere not important or viewable etc)
