No, the Beta will not be made the current Release until it contains a usable GrindBot to replace the current version Release has.
It won't be entirely rewritten, but certain parts still have to be for compatibility with the new framework. Right now, the Exile CR is being rewritten. Curse logic was finished today, and a few API improvements were made to handle certain things that weren't working nicely before (multiple curses). There's still a bit of stuff left to do in regards to Exile and fixing some of the incompatibility with the old bot and the new beta.
