New botting rig

So im going to upgrade and buy another computer for botting only, which means i will just use it to bot and nothing else. How many bots do you think i could run on buying a used computer/parts for like 250-350 dollars? What parts of the computer should i prioritize on? Im thinking RAM and CPU.

Any tips?

Depends on how luck you are in terms of finding cheap hardware.
I would say go for many cores on the CPU, and set aside at least 1½ GB RAM per bot.

Try with cheapest i7 on the after market.

Any i7 is good, if you find reliable i7-920 for example, bundled with 32GB+ ram you can even run 10-15 bots on it.

Just keep in mind, older hardware usually means higher power consumption.

For example my i7-920 is netting 30-40eur expenses montly from electricity bills, and our power rates are quite cheaper here ~5 cents per KWh

If your country have higher price level on power, you should consider this expense too!

If you're not planning on running a ton of bots, like 15 or more on one computer I suggest picking up a used 2600K with 12gb-16gb of ram plus a SSD. Should net you around €150-€200.

Thanks for the answer, ill check the electricity expense out! I live with my parents (18 years old) so they pay it but ill pay them what it costs to run a computer 24/7.

Well that is discussable, prices will even out hopefully. Maybe a 20% loss in total price. Still good money though.

how about used laptop components such as i7-3630qm and other? i saw few videos where guys making from old laptop+monitor and some tape monoblock with build in GPU or extended by pci-e raiser to move VGA at side thats pretty strange but can safe a lot of space! have any suggestions? also is it posible to take limit of 200 EUR for bot rig?
what you think guys. can mobile CPUs handle with this task?
Also interested in Intel low prices CPU line like G-class and pentium. for next gen sounds pretty good in performance powers (Kaby Lake if i`m right). what to0do? where to look?

Sorry but dont take any of the above posts too seriously given your budget.

We see SSD, 32G of ram, hello guys, get real he has 250/300 in DOLLARS gtfo with your euro budget.

Basically and as you said, try to get as much as you can of RAM with any I5 (or better if can find it but you wont for that budget), forget the SSD (wont change shit but loading time).
