New banning method?

In the past 2 months I've had so many bans (10 perma'ed and 15+ accounts got 72hours). What has changed?
Now they ban while you are offline. This never ever happened before. In one of the appeals that I've made to one of the bans, I had a reply from a GM that said "We normaly do not divulge information about bans, but your account was detected 24-36hours before the ban actually took place."
So, the era where GM teleported you is kinda gone?
I'm thinking that they are running some kind of a program that scans the accounts at a given date, and 1-2 days later they release the bans. Their program is not perfect, because it does not detect all active bots, but it does detect some. This is just a personal opinion. Also the number of player reports has increased a lot. And the worse part is that most of the reports come from other botters.
What also has changed, is that once they detect an account on one ip/machine they start scanning all your accounts on the machine. So multi-botting is getting hit very hard lately. I'm monitoring this forum each day , especially the ban section and in every week there's a large number of accounts that get hit.
It would be nice if other people could share some of their experience with the blizzard customer support tickets and calls so we can learn how these bans are happening and how we can avoid them.

They still tele you, to see if your a bot or not!

And i think most of us got the ban from a 20+hrs playing none stop!

Well, maybe for me only =S

I hope you get your accounts back!

Hey,

I've noticed the same, and ran an "experience" project with a bunch of people. Based on that, I've written a guide on how to best be safe. It's not 100%, but whenever they ban you and whatever reason they give, you can always excuse yourself. I am waiting on a confirmation before I can post it here, but you may always e-mail me for it. It will point out about 7 important points you should pay attention to in order to secure your accounts. It is free as well :)
