New account banned-Economy Exploitation

Has this happened to anyone else?

I create a new account. I purchased a physical copy of the Battle Chest (up to WotLK) and enter my code to activate. I bot on this new account for maybe 3 days, only running it no more than 7 hours max. Now I try logging in to find out I have been banned for "Economy Exploitation" involving the trading of real word money for in game currency.

HOW THE HELL DID I DO THAT?!?!?!?

The account didn't even have enough gold to sell on it, maybe 3 gold total. Has this been happening to anyone else?

I opened a ticket about this with BLIZ, hopefully they will unban it, as the account has done nothing except quest.

At the very least, I will print out my email that bliz gives me and take it over the RETAILER and convince them to give me a refund. I heard also that some extreme botters use the same exact paypal account to pay for all of their WoW/D3 accounts---the reason for this is if the account gets banned within 40 days, you can get a refund from paypal as you are not getting the intended service that was sold. Any truth to that?

WHY DID MY BRAND NEW BATTLE CHEST ACCOUNT GET EFFING BANNED...so frustrating, any tips?

at the very least, I would say that might be the cause.. It is a very popular profile to use, and with alot of people using it, chances are someone reported you for it. It seems that blizzard isnt paying much attention as to the reason they ban. My account was banned for "hacks, including but not limited to, running through walls, ect... This was not the case, for the only thing i did with that account was bot herbs/ore. I would take the excuse with a grain of salt for its not always the "real reason" .. I would just imagine that someone reported you for botting period.. Try to appeal it, they will most likely decline the first appeal, but then reopen the same appeal.. It took two times to get my account unbanned, both were from different customer service reps at blizz.

Ok. I will keep at them with the tickets. ALSO, I am going to see if I can get them to confirm the activation code, that may be the only way I can get a refund from RETAILER.

Got my account issue resolved. They removed the ban after opening an appeal.

Appeal it, if you didnt sell or post 1000+ auctions on it i dont see how they can keep it banned.
