Never leaving the bot - how safe?

I have botted a couple years ago, but not recently. I'd like to begin again, but have some questions.

The way I plan to bot (and botted in the past) is when I am playing on my main computer, having the bot run on a second account and a laptop in the same room.

The bot would be doing it's thing, leveling and farming items to sell. In the past I had configured an add on to make a loud alarm sound to alert me of a whisper or anything else so I could answer and move the bot.

I would run the bot and always be in the house to hear the alarm. The bot would run when I slept, but be in the same room so the alarm would wake me up. Aiming to bot 6 to 8 hours a day. How safe is this method? I will be using the bot primarily to farm herbs to send to my main account. Could both my main and bot accounts get banned even though they are running on different computers and accounts (although on the same internet connection, etc)?

Pretty safe imo. Although Blizz encourages people NOT to whisper suspected botters, just to report them : \

It sounds like you would take security seriously tho, so good chance you'll be ok :p

I use the 'RareKiller' plugin (look in the security settings tab) to alert me to whispers, works great.

Dont mail the farmed goods cross account.
Have the farmer send them to an alt deposit them into a guild bank and withdraw it with your main account.

Imo your main account should be safe with your method alrough you are never 100% safe.
