The best way is finding out yourself.
Check your realms auction house and search for ores.
The ones that sell for the highest price, you should farm.
If the economy sucks it might take a while before you sell everything you have mined though.

Take this step first and then use the 'search' function and search for the zone you need to mine in.

OK, first up, what did you search for? What type of ore sells for the most on your server? Obsidium? Elementium? Cobalt? Find your Ore from your server AH.

Search for something like "GB2 Cobalt Ore Borean Tundra", 4th post down is [GB2] Zuabros' Cobalt Mining Profile (Borean Tundra+) I'd say that was a successful enough search.

Alternatively you could download a pack of nearly all the zones you would ever want to farm like Bengans. But you still need to research your server's AH.

elementium is very needed on my server for prospecting (its more worth it if you just prospect it yourself)

Well, besides pyrite, there are only 2 different types of ore this expansion. Easiest thing to do would be to check your AH and then go to the spot that has the most of the more profitable ore. Typically Uldum or Twilight Highlands.
