need suggestions on new mage in northrend

Ok he is frost spec alliance and ready to start.
I think he only has like 400 sp and 7k hp so he is ok
but no stand in the #$$%^ killing machine like a dk or pally.

Should I first do some hands on questing in tundra to get him started in new zone?

recommendations on profile and area to get going are very welcome.

is doing mixed with AV worth anything right now (it was great this weekend)

Best recommendation is get a lot more spell power then 400. I always kept up to date on my spell power gear.

Areas are easy, just avoid mobs like the Mage Hunters in Dragonblight.

as a frost you should not have major problems
but as rogo said keep your gear updated and go often to trainer

well shows what I know.
I thought 400 sp on a level 70 was pretty good, he is in greens not kara gear.

400 is fine provided you keep up with training and every 2/3 levels hit the AH for better gear
