Your best bet is to submit an enhancement request through BugTracker.
Your request has a better chance of being addressed if you are very specific with what you need. Include a mock-up of how you would use it. Also, if you could cite a few of the quests that need the feature.
The more information you provide in the enhancement request, the better chance of getting it addressed properly in the overall priority of things that need done.
