"6- run vmware edit register using ( Run ) -> ( regedit )
find ( @oem9.inf;%svga%;VMware SVGA 3D ) replace it with () <~~ replace it with empty data ( if this step shows error then use offline register editor or hiren's boot"

Is there any guides on how to edit this with hiren's boot or some other program? I've googled and searched the forums but I can't anything other than people saying you need to use an offline editor...but with no mention as to how.

hey guys, is this method for running AA on virtual machine with GLYPH, or only ARCHEBUDDY?

and is it still currently possible to run AA normally via glyph on a virtual machine? (as of March 2015)

has anyone tested this out and had AA running on VM (either with Glyph or archebuddy?)

thanks

thanks fredgsanford, that's good to know!! :)

where is the original/complete guide for running AA on VM?

EDIT: never mind, got it down to the last step of offline registry :)

Instead to manipulate the registry, you can try directly change "VMware SVG 3D" to "GTX 660" in Oem10.inf at Windows/inf/oem10.inf ( use hiren's boot to do it offline)

hey guys, having the same problem.Followed the guides but whenever i change the @oem9.inf crap it appears all good n dandy but when i boot up the VM and go back to regedit, its STILL THERE! Idk whats going on and idk how to remove it x(.

If offline registry editing doesn't work or is being difficult, try to log in to your operating system's default administrator account. That will let you gain access and change all registry files without having to use an offline registry editor like hiren's boot.

Study the attached link for info on how to enable the built-in administrator account in your windows OS to gain access to registry files.
Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable in Windows 8

once you're successfully logged onto the built-in administrator account, check out this link to change whatever registry files that failed to change correctly before:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/310426

there's no easy way around it, just gotta keep trying till it works :) good luck!!

enkae when you try edit it how are you getting there? you say when you boot up the vm? does that mean you didn't edit the registry while booted into the vm as you do need to boot into the vm just has to be using hirens or some other os that lets you edit the registry of your vm's registry not on main os.

http://www.uukeys.com/unlock-remove-windows-8-10-password.html
read this its easiest way. You can boot into windows pe from hirens's boot cd. Note that the hives you need will be on your C: drive inside the vm or i assume it will be c drive anyway.
Also you must boot hirens in the vm not on your main os.

I am trying to use NT Password in Hirens boot to change the login password but it never booted. I burned the program in a usb stick. What is the problem in here?
