Need help picking profs

Just hit 85 on my 3rd account.

Shaman - No professions (yet)
Hunter - Mining / Herb
Priest - Herb / Engi (didnt pick, was a bought account, and just got it running again)

Need suggestions on which profs to pick for the shaman, and possibly changing the priests....

Thinking atleast insc. on one. And JC on the other?

I am just not sure, looking to max my profit here

I would take Inscription and Jewelcrafting together on one character and make that your auctioneer. If you want to maximize profit on one server then change Herb on the hunter to Engi as well and have Priest herb, Hunter mine, both get extra Volatile Air from the Engi, mail everything to the Shaman and have him either put it on AH or process it if raw mats prices are too low on AH.

What does the engineering skill do exactly?? Just before i do anything.

What is your free time like? I tend to only mine/herb on all my farmers and then bulk sell bars/ores/herbs in AH or to private buyers. I simply do not have the extra time to smelt, prospect, cut and craft all the mats that I collect into other things to sell, even with all the wonderful Hb addons out there now. My profits are not as high as they could be if I used all professions in combination but I only spend about 20 min in the morning and another 20 min in the evening posting auctions and collecting mail. to me, my free time is worth only making 30 to 40k a day vs 50 or 60k.
