So originally I had BS/Alchemy on paladin and mine/herb on my hunter. I'm switching things around to be more efficient. One thing that annoyed me is that my hunter likes to melee mobs to death a lot, probably a cc issue.

Decided to pickup mining/herb on Pali for crusader aura. My hunter gots three choices scribe, jc, and alchemy. First profession I decided to get scribe since I never tried it. For second prof I'm leaning more towards jc. What would you choose jc or alchemy? I'm pretty much looking for the prof that makes more gold and compliments mining/herb more. I know all servers differ but I still want your input.

Thanks.

Tuff call on witch is going to make more money. Gems do cost more but you have to replace them less often while if your selling flasks you know that those are going to burn off and they will have to come back for more. I would look at the AH for about a week and try to keep track of how many ppl are selling in each category. Then I would go with what seems to have the least competition and hopefully you won't be constantly getting undercut. Kinda hard to make a call on that one though. I have both professions but I have never really used them as real money makers.

Edit: for me I have always taken the professions on a toon that I thought where the most beneficial to what I like as far as convenience go and just made whatever extra I could off of it as a bonus.

I would create a DK, make it MINING + Engineering.

DK is by far the best class to bot on to make a gatherer (unholy)..... It will level very fast with botting, and mining + engineering will make you so rich that you can buy everything every other profession would craft... They get a better speed improve (both flying, with no need of crusader aura, and walking). An unholy DK farmer NEVER dies.... due to plate armor, high healing rate, the CCs are awesome, and the perma pet will take care of buggy mobs....

DKs are probably the best class to bot on (gathering). This will make your life easier.

I have all classes 85s, and by far I can say that DK is the best class to gather-bot.

Engineering can make you richer together with mining because of the "eletrostactic condenser" that can be only equiped by engineers. It will proc about 20 volatile air per hour while mining... As there are no other easy way to get volatile air except for grinding air elementals in uldum (high ban risk), prices tend to be very very rewarding.

Hunter is not SO good to make a gather bot because:

- "disengage" will make you fall and die from cliffs, or aggro extra mobs and die
- hunters need some range to be able to attack... excessive movement can make things more dificult
- no speed boost for flying (except for the default 10% from guild perk).

DKs are much better than hunters because:
- DKs have 20% fly speed boost by default, no need to activate any spell
- Unholy pet is very strong, and will take care of mobs that the CC may "forget" or bug
- DKs can heal themselves much better than hunters. They can death-grip casters, and can face multiple mobs at once
- Plate armor is always a good thing when botting

So... if you want to get real money:

- Make an unholy DK
- Level mining + enginieering
- Start gathering ore. Smelt half into bars and sell them, sell the other half as ore.
- Profit!

Well I got my Mage to 85, so I went with mining+herb on Pali, inscription+alchemy on hunter, and jc+enchant on Mage.

DK will be my next project to level up, shouldn't take more than a week to 85.

Thanks.
