Sorry for the long post.
So I got my main banned on 4/06 morning and I followed the pdf unban guide posted somewhere on this forum,
And this is how I went about it:
what I've told them:
I can't login. Few weeks ago I received a warning email asking me to verify my account due to suspicion of account trading(I knew it's a scam but am acting dumb). I tried logging in but the login page didn't respond after I submitted info, so I just forgot about the warning.
Trying to check my email to see if I got banned for account trading. Email got hacked, password recovery successful.
I scanned my computer and found a few viruses/trojans. I got hacked!
Googled about those viruses, learning they are capable of remotely taking control of my PC as long as it's powered on. Removed them with AV software.
One of the viruses/trojans was downloaded from the phishing site, which I now know is a scam site.
Checked my email thought I was banned for account trading only to discover it was because of 3rd party software, but I have never done either.
I sent my computer to a repair shop to do a reformat
I changed my email/password
I sent a screenshot of the phishing mail
my wow playing habit:
I generally play honestly from 6PM-12AM on my main toons
After that I bot using a gathering toon which I don't do anything on except for gatherbuddying, and it goes from 12AM until noon on the following day, which I then play my main for a while during lunch break.
After lunch break, botting resumes at around 1:30PM until 5:30
5:30 to 6:00PM I just afk on my main in cities and go eat dinner
6:00PM and the cycle repeats, I've done this for about a week
On weekends I play just about all day, and bot only during sleep (5-6 hours)
I play in China, but I always play with a VPN, either based in Hong Kong or Taiwan, depending on latency (sometimes one is better than the other).
IIRC I got banned while botting with the VPN based in Taiwan, I believe I was playing on the same VPN earlier. (can't be entire too sure, I switch it around quite a bit just to get good latency)
I change zone for every bot session (e.g. 12AM to 7:30AM in Uldum, 7:30AM to 12:00PM in Vash, 1:30PM to 5:30 in Deepholme, and then Hyjal)
I have a different copy for botting, which has the preferences set to very low, so I would always completely log out of my account first.
now Blizzard is asking me to provide these info:
1)Account name
2)Server I play the most on
3)Characters I play the most
4)Last time I logged out (logged out of my main on 4/05 or 4/06)
5)The date which I discovered my account was banned (4/06 morning at around 7:30AM)
6)Location where I play WoW from (as said in my wow playing habit)
1)-3) I have no problem telling the truth, but I'm not sure what to tell them for 4)-6)
I need some tips from unban masters. What should I tell them next that can give me the best chance of getting my acct back?
