Need help explaining the Trash mob settings

I have a bit of problem understanding the trash mob settings and the DB manual is so old it says nothing about it.

Trigger range for trash combat. Ok kinda get this and yet not, sometime i have mobs melee hitting me while the char keep running... and sometime it target single mobs very close, its just confusing, please explain it.

Minimum trash mob size: i assume this is the amount that have to be within Trash pack cluster radius?

Ignore trash below health %: No idea what this is good for, why would i ever want to not finish of a mob?

Ignore below health % w/ DOT: I don't get this at all

Please make this clear for me so i can make my bot more effective.

This too, my follow bot is giving me a headache dow to all this, and its just not working for me. It just runs off on its own, killing stuff half a map away.
