Need help choosing a new desktop PC.

I need a new gaming PC, i have a laptop for general stuff. But i want a beast for just gaming. I have fallen behind in the pc world, so could anyone recommend a Desktop from here? http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/LandingPages/megaspecial/bts02/

What do you want to do with it? What will be the main purpose of this "beast".

that says nothing. It just says you have a Dell gaming machine with 17" screen. It doesn't say anything about what hardware is in there.
But frankly; my bet is that thing will do anything you'll ask of it. I sincerely doubt you'll find a system anywhere that is more functional than your laptop.
So just keep your money in the pocket. Save it up for when hardware has become even faster and games actually require that.

If you have any knowledge of how computers work/are put together, then you should probably look into building it yourself.
You will save yourself easily $1000 if you are going high end.

Agree 100%.....honestly i built my first computer with tutorial off youtube(+rep youtube) and it works fine. It will cost you half as much to get the same result as a computer that will cost you $1200+
