Need advice: Returning to WoW after 2 years.

I couldn't find a general WoW discussion forum in HB, so I thought I'd post here to ask for advice.

I was banned almost 2 years ago for a combo of HB and PQR botting. (Got a HB ding and then a perm closure in the PQR banwave.) The new expac has me interested in returning and I was wondering the best way to go about doing it. I don't think people have been successful in overturning PQR bans.

I had four linked accounts on my old battlenet. The main two were banned. The third and fourth accounts were not active at the time and not banned. Would I be able to resurrect one of those two old linked accounts or would they ban them immediately? Would it be better to make a fresh account?

How does WoW detect and flag alternate accounts? HWID? MAC? If I make a new account, I want to avoid being flagged again as a "botter" account.
 
My main account was banned during the May ban wave after 4 years. I paid for a 2nd WoW and have been botting since. Same account, IP, Computer, etc. nothing was changed. I bot almost every night afk via Kicks profile for questing or Millz BGFarmer till 4k cap then log off.

I mainly just PVP with different rotations depending how much of WoW I feel like playing during the day.


I purchase Gold from friends or webpages so I never grind gathering etc. 100k at a time. Don't need much for PVP. Bought a lot at the start to upgrade all my heirlooms.


That's my experience.



From what I can tell over the years. HWID and Mac may be used to link botting accounts together but I don't believe they routinely "check up on you." If you get a reported and they decide to look into your past or link even payment credit cards or Paypal that would make sense.

Not a single person outside of Blizzard can tell you how Blizz flags accounts. The only obvious thing is that they'll do whatever they want with your account, no matter what measures you take.

Did you use the same name / CC / paypal to make the new account?
