Need Advice From Beta Testers

Im debating between Shammy and Pally Resto/Holy. But i keep reading that holy pallies at 85 are a joke, not even close to par with shammys.

Anyone that can confirm or deny this?

Does it matter which one is best?
Isn't it more important to play the one you like the most?
If pallies are as bad as you've heard, then they'll surely get a buff, or shammies will get a nerf.
