I'm looking for a new video card because i have to run WoW on 'Fair' settings (lowering than 'good') haha so bad. But i don't know much about computer parts so i wouldn't know what a good card to upgrade to would be let alone be compatible.

Anyway i have a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE nForce 430 video card what would be a somewhat cheap card that would allow me to run WoW on atleast one setting lower than Ultra if not Ultra itsself?

Thanks!!

I have the Nvidia GTX275. Runs it pretty good. You don't want a bottle neck though so you CPU has a part to play.

Well how about this, can you list some better video cards than the one i have for under $200?

@ wtg001 Do you need other system info? I don't understand what you mean by bottleneck.

Lastly, how do you overclock stuff?

a HD 4890 would be overkill.

If you?re only running 1 instance of WoW, a HD 5670 should be able to run it with max settings.

i have 2 5870's xfire.... but then again i also have an alienware m17x laptop :D

but if your system can support a 5780 i would go for it.

Nvidia GTX 460 1GB cards range between 229-259 depending on the manufaturerer on Newegg.com.

If you have to stay $200 or less then I would recommend the Nvidia GTS 260 896MB card which ranges from 159.00-204.99 on newegg.com

I have the GTX 460 1GB card and it is amazing.

That would run WoW on Ultra settings? I won't have ALL settings maxed out and enabled but majority. Also would it be compatible with a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+? (sorry if i don't know what I'm talking about)

Graphics cards always matches with ANY cpu. I need to know your motherboard.

You can download Speccy if you?re unsure where to find the name of your motherboard.

well i opened my system info tool and it tells me all my hardware info, is this my MB - NVIDIA MCP61? if not ill download that tool you told me :D

Also do you think overclocking my NVIDIA GeForce 6150 would even be useful...does anyone know how i could overclock it (once again sorry never done any of this stuff).

How can i tell if parts i want to buy are compatible with my motherboard?

If you don't know how to overclock, don't. You'll prolly fry something.

EDIT: If you really want your stuff overclocked ( pre-overclocked bundles ) - http://www.awd-it.co.uk/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=8954

You can overclock your graphic card by using a software ( the software should be pre-installed onto your computer ( I think? ) ). You should Google how much you can overclock your card ( Because you can do pemanent damage on your card if it gets too hot, but before it even gets to that the computer will prolly crash and such shutting down itself to prevent damage), note just because someone says they've overclocked it to that and that doesn't mean you can, it depends on other factors too. Because there are many brands out there.

Yeah there are some parts there too, I suggest buying a bundle instead that are known to be compatible. You get Memory, Motherboard, CPU and non-stock CPU cooler ( alteast in ADW-IT's ). But since you only wanted a new graphic card, yeah.

And your PSU, how many WATS is it? You've maybe said this but I haven't read all the comments.

( Cus if your PSU ain't good, you may not be able to upgrade to better cards )
