Whats the optimal setting for catching and transfering? right now im just doing keep 3 with highest cp iv and transfering the rest, im level 8 atm.?
 
sounds optimal to me^^

i would suggest evolving the ones you get a lot of, like pidgey, sentret, spinarak and so on, to get faster xp ;)
 
You can always check Necrid's logic settings, or check Bolan's guide on how he uses PF "safely".
