Nasty rendering bug while using splashtop remote desktop

There's a quite bad rendering bug that needs resolving. If I am remoting to a computer who's monitor is off (laptop lid closed but not locked or sleeping) the entire UI freezes up and does not update even though the bot is working perfectly. Swapping to the my pokemon or eggs tab makes the UI work perfectly until I swap back to the map. This does not occur while remoting with the lid open. So I can only assume it's something to do with map rendering
