Forgotten what it is called, you could hover over a weapon or armor and it would tell you what spec it was best for in the tooltip, it did this by giving a number with 1 decimal place to each spec, IE for mages it would list arcane/frost/fire and plays prot/ret/holy.

Anyone remember what it is called ?

Nope, why would you need that anyway :P

It's not hard to look at the stats and see if its an upgrade for you.

Guess I am going to learn to read up on stats now :) ,RET paly (before 4.0.1 patch) shows up as being in full Prot gear with WeightsWatcher, DK's are foobar too, guess Blizz changed something in the patch, the addon hasn't been updated since the June.

I'll look at Pawn :)

I dont know. I liked to use Pawn at first but couldnt ever find good templates or whatever they call em. I know it was updated for 4.0.1 and is suppose to have all the stat changes in such in it, but I havnt actually gave it a look since.

Pawn is it thanks, but stats still foobar, or has the game changed so much ?

Turalyon's Gauntlets of Conquest for example Turalyon's Gauntlets of Conquest - Item - World of Warcraft , Ret T9 triumph set, pawn says holy 15.4, ret 18.2, tank 88.7. Have I totally missed something here ? (more than likely)

Pawn uses usergenerated weight values.
If you "open the hood" and look at the string of code that define each spec / profile and then compare them too eachother you'll see what i mean.

In other words, one user may give str a value of 100 and crit a value of 80 for ret while another user might give str a value of 1 and crit a value of 0.8. The scale is the same, just divided by 100.
Pawn is mostly used to quickly check if the new fancy loot is an upgrade compared to what you already have by comparing the two numbers on the two pieces from the SAME profile(in this example ret).
