N00b qustion. How do you tell if you're banned?

Every time I read about a banwave and I'm away from the computer to verify my access, I wonder if I've been banned.
How do you figure out if they have banned you? Do they send you an email? Do you get a guy with a suit and dark shades at your door ?
Forgive my noob question, I've never been through this (hopefully never will)

well you try to logging and you get an error message saying: HAHAHAHAHA WE CAUGHT YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!! and that's it you're banned

For me? I was kicked offline and after logging back in I get a message stating my account has been banned. Also checking your account on battle.net under Diablo 3 Account Status it will say BANNED in big red lettering

Well hopefully not. We all get caught eventually I suppose. According to previous post above, I'm fine for now since my battlenet account does not display BANNED. I'll know for sure once I get home
