[N]Alani Mount Farm

My very first profile. Go easy on me.

Testing done:
  • Launched from anywhere in pandaland, draenor, kalimdor, eastern kingdoms || Testing nav -- Success
  • Full bags after farming || Selling items/mailing -- Success
  • Run for 2h+ -- No DC/Stuck. (Run on a Mage, Horde)
  • Full tested for 10 skyshards & Looting alani. -- Success

Make this faster and use potion of luck! Simply buy them and the bot will use them for you. (not greaters)

What it does:
  • Determines where you are, and flys you to grind spot.
  • Grinds the "Anchient Guo-Lai Cache Keys" (Options to delete on loot in profile as well.)
  • Grinds Motes of Harmony (sells for an easy 75g per Spirit on my server)
  • Goes to a wait spot and waits for Alani, then kills him.
  • Once the mount is in your bags, will then hearthstone and AFK until you DC.
  • Grinds Golden Lotus rep. (10 per kill)
  • Uses Potion of Luck for extra treasures, and opens chests.


Bugs:
  • Won't sell if you have full bags when you start the profile as a mage. (Just spams Conjure Refreshment)
  • Must have auto-loot on (interface -> Controls -> Auto-loot) if using Potion of Luck, otherwise will not loot from chests.

Good profile, only thing is he tried to vendor in Horde area and kept dying. Other than that went really well.

Are you Alliance?

EDIT: Just made a few changes to the profile, just gunna test it on a level 92 ally toon to make sure it vendors in the right spot.

You just download the XML I linked in the main post, then load up Honorbuddy. Click on Load Profile, select from file, then pick the XML you downloaded from the first post. :)
 
Well it killed alani but didn't loot it... just afked till i dc'ed. Farmed like 20 hours to find out skyshards gone and no mount.

Just saying it didn't work won't help me fix anything :p

The only issue I could see in the code really, that I never really thought of, is the wait time while waiting for Alani to fly overhead.

Could have you DC while waiting for Alani to fly overhead. But in that case, you should not of lost your shards. Are you sure it wasn't just combined into the item that is used to remove his shield?

it used the sky crystal on alani. It killed alani but stays there saying nothing more to be done. Just disconnects after that.

I'll take a look into why that's happening. Doesn't make much sense considering it looted all prior mobs. I'll update back soon hopefully.

EDIT: Updated original post. Should properly loot/hearth now. Was an issue with after alani was dead, the point of interest told the bot to just plain stop when he was dead. Should be functional now.

I'm loving this profile, but I'm trying to iron out a kink. It might be an HB bug; if it is, I'd like to submit a bug report. My issue is that my bot will only use up to 1 stack of Potion of Luck. After that, for some reason the bot doesn't detect the other stacks I have. I tried to tweak the code a little bit, thinking it might be a profile error. This is what I swapped in for the Potion of Luck logic, to try and force the bot to always use the potions.

I've had this error as well when using the profile. I'm honestly not too sure if it's something I can fix, as I'm not the best at making profiles. (This was my first)

I'm sure someone with actual brain power could figure it out. @EchoTiger

Cool, thanks for the reply. I don't think it's something you can fix on a profile level either. I'm going to try using a plugin to pop the potions to see how that goes.
