Hello Buddy Forums,
This is my story (so far) on my new WoW account that I purchased after my old one was banned for the second time and was not reversed. I found a new server (high population, good economy), and began leveling my first character. After reaching 90 on my character, I immediately began gathering herbs/ore and selling/CODing them, as they were/still are selling for a pretty good price on my server (~40g/stack MoP herbs, ~65g/stack Ghost Iron). I earned around 100k in a few weeks (I made sure to only bot a few hours a day, and while I was near my computer).
One helpful hint for gathering: ALWAYS SWITCH PROFILES! Never have your toon gather in the same zone for hours everyday. I believe this was the main reason my old account was banned. I now use HBRelog to take random "AFK" breaks, and switch from a single zone MoP profile to a multi-zone profile every 90 or so minutes.
My progress now: I took a break from WoW for a few months, came back and have gotten back into it. I am now using HB to level my third level 90 on the account. I am also about to hit 250k gold (90% from CODing herbs/ore to private buyers). I am planning on leveling more professions (JC/alchemy/inscription) once my third toon reaches 90.
This was just a quick summary of what I have done so far on my new account. In case anyone was wondering, I believe my old account was banned for botting in the same zone for excessive amounts of time (9+ hours nonstop in Jade Forest=ban). I learned from my mistakes, and I am excited to see how this new account progresses over the next few months.
