Al'right, lets start.
Back story:
I first botted in Vanilla with Glider, to level up one of my alt and farm some cloth, but after that I didn't start botting again until mid-cata.
The reason why I started botting again in cata was because I was really tired of leveling, only had 1? char left to level up to 85. And once I reached 85 with all chars I started to do some BGs with two of my chars just to get some gear and leave all the fun for me in Arena. I also ran it to get some herbs for my personal use.
Now:
Nowadays I bot mainly to earn cash, and the main reason why I started doing this was because I had a child on the way and needed some fast cash and I had ~650k g just sitting there, and I sold half of it to a Chinese buyer like most of the people did, at first the price were around 0.8$/k and I found that to be a good price, but when it got under 0.5$/k I searched for a new buyer and found one that was willing to pay 1$/k and so I expanded my bots from 1 to 2, and nowadays I have 2 accounts running 10-12h/day and a 3rd account that I personally play on.
This brings me in around 500-800$ extra a month, and I first buy stuff that I need myself or for my family, and the rest I give away to charity.
