About 3 semesters into my Computer Science degree, I wasn't doing well. I was drained from ROTC eating 30+ hours of my week, plus all CS classes were being offered at the same time as my ROTC classes. All of the other cadets I saw that had exceptions made with ROTC got dropped to the bottom of the totem no matter how great they were. So my option was no more CS or bottom of the totem. So I changed my major to a more ROTC friendly one, Sociology, and graduated last December. Not getting my CS degree ate me up inside from the moment I switched and through this whole year.
I played wow a little a few summers ago and started back after I graduated. One day I got tired of repetitive crap, like fishing, and decided I wanted to try to make a bot. After some research, I found HB.
Before HB, I had 2 lvl 85s and about 200 gold between the both of them. I was pretty new to wow and I sucked. When I leveled my paladin, people made fun of me for being a ret paladin with a sword and shield. I literally started dating a girl and had a breakup weeks later b/c I was blowing her off to hang out with friends and sometimes play wow.
Since HB...
-Army Training Done!
-5 botted lvl 85s (some while in Army training)
-All wow professions
-Tons of gold
-Met a nice girl. She got station overseas, but at least we had a nice relationship while she was here.
-Im the XO at my reserve unit!
And...
In 2 weeks I will start school back to finish my CS Degree!
I was getting bored and ready to quit playing wow, but HB changed the way I looked at it. It helped me get back into programming and motivated me to go back to school. Also a lot of the CCs around here really helped me to understand the wow classes better and not be such a noob.
