Hello guys,

Im having a huuuge issue with WoW right now. This problem is not caused by any application that the buddy guys released or shared in this forum.

Is State:
I activated my secondary WoW Account yesterday with WoD Addon, Honorbuddy license, Playtime... a nice bunch of money.
Using recent Windows 8.1

Issue:
When trying to start both instances, my main Bnet Acc + main WoW Acc and my Secondary Bnet Acc + Sec WoW Acc they disconnect the one that was logged in before.
This means, I can only play one at a time. This is not handled via IP but via runtimes on one single PC. That is my assumption after dealing with a virtualisation solution (see below)

Happening since:
While doing some investigations about this issue, I found out that it seems to happen since a specific WoD Patch in the Dec 2014.

What I tried, which didnt help:

- 2 WoW installations, even on different Harddisks
- fresh WoW Installation
- Wished them all to hell
- Bnet Multiple Account setting activated -> Logged in the Bnet Launcer with both accounts
- Activated Bnet Launcer Offline Mode for one or both
- Cried
- Setting up a Virtual Box, hosting WoW and the fancy stuff is unfortunately below 7FPS

Has anybody a clue how to handle that? I maybe try VMware due to different solutions about doing 3D accelerated applications but I would love to just have both WoW sessions on my root PC.
I can think of some multiboxers / multiacc botters here. They might have figured out a workaround?

Any push in to the right direction is highly appreciated

Cheers

Hi, Prometheus247,

We've moved your thread to the main Honorbuddy forum to see if any of our Community members can help you. The Support forum is for malfunctioning Honorbuddy. From the problem description, you are having issues with the WoWclient/WoWserver. As such, the problem really doesn't belong in the Buddy forums at all, and definitely doesn't belong in the Support forum.

Although we know some Community members run configurations similar to what you describe, this is not the configuration used by the bulk of our multi-botters. Most people:
  • Use one copy of the WoWclient for all instances planned to run
  • Do not use any sort of virtualization—all WoWclient instances are run as straight-forward Windows processes
From your problem, it almost sounds like both of your accounts are being managed as one account on the WoWserver side. Logging into the second account causing your first account to log out.

We've never heard of this before, and don't know where to start with such. Hopefully, someone in the Community might have some insight.

cheers,
chinajade

Just run it using HBrelog. And dont login using Battle.net application.

After hours, well days of tweaking it all went away to the ordinary state of last year.
I used to multibox for a while and the setup chinajade suggested was the setup I used (which worked before).

So I installed a firewall (netlimiter) to gain control over what and when goes out / in and not. Furthermore I killed all may occuring Bnet tasks.
Im not sure what exactly helped, but it is working now.

I still have some issues with HBrelog to recognise the correct WoW. Sometimes only 1 WoW session is started for the 1st account, but HBrelog is recognising this to be 1st + 2nd wow instance (which is of course BS).
I can think of its running in conflict with my configuration so far. I will do a little tweaking. I guess my source issue got itself resolved.
