I was manually doing (!) the Limnoligist and Oceanographer achievements and when I passed through Northern Barrens decided that I may as well scoop up the Deviate Fish then I figured I may as well make a quick profile for it to save me actually fishing them.

It fishes the three pools, Forgotten Pools, the one just south of Wailing Caverns and the Stagnant Oasis. There's no vendor, mailbox or repair and it works with the excellent Pool Fishing Buddy in the plug in section.

Have it set on bounce.

Known issues:
  • It goes a long way around to the pools. I'm aware of this, but I choose not to correct it as I'm probably not going to use it much.
  • Some of the pools are pretty close to the edge - I'm not sure if it's my profile that causes it to recast a few times or a setting in the fishing bot, either way, it's not that much of an issue
  • Literally as I type, it appears to have stopped in some water, I'm not sure why! I stopped and restarted it and it's working again, maybe my computer issue
  • I've not done many profiles so it maybe a bit rough around the edges but I like to contribute where I can

I don't recall seeing a profile for Deviate Fish so hopefully it's of some use.

If one of those noob turtles attack me, my character will switch between weapons rapidly.. doing nothing.. how can i fix this?

Mine is just running around the pools but not fishing at all. then he stays between WC and forgotten pools?!

The profile does not really work with me. I just rounds around the fishing pools and stops at a certain point, however, it never accually fishes

I am using the Grind Bot, guess that's the problem, but what other bot should i use?
 
I cant make Pool Fishing Buddy work, just says it cant install :/ but works great with autoangler2! see for u'r self:

if u wanna have a look here it is, i compared urs and mine and the only difference is i added mailbox nad vendor + the hotspots, so i dont really get it /:

would like to see an alternate profile without flying. seeing as how its such a small area for 1, there are no vendors or mailboxes, and if you dont have flying it bugs out because your waypoint is 5 feet above where you can go on a ground mount. thanks! i would make my own profile for ground mount farming of these but for some reason my dev tools open up but i cant access the window or close it.

EDIT: and everyone knows flying is a little buggy when it comes to fishing. sometimes you fly right over fishing spots
 
Works like a charm with AutoAngler2. All I did was load the profile and 5 hours later, has not made any mistakes.

For sure that's the problem. The whole tread is talking about fishing and using Autoangler. So maybe use Autoangler instead of Grindbot ? Maybe a good choice.

This profile does not contain any profiles fitting the character!

Is a CONSTANT error I get. I have AA2 and this profile, the ONLY profile.
I have no idea how to get this to work.
Someone, help!
 
I actually have the same. I compared the profile to other profiles I have from Pandaria, but they look the same...
