Hello all. Just wrapped up gearing my 90's with PvP gear and finally have 2 separate guilds created with all the controls and bank tabs set up, as well as the tabard. Things are on their way, my empire is slowly happening. My next move is to establish a solid profession background for both guilds.

I want to max out every major profession (mining, blacksmithing, etc.) but I really have no solid plan on how to go about this.

Initially I wanted to accumulate enough gold on both factions (give each character one gathering profession and one crafting) to be able to buy Profession Kits. That's going to end up being a total of 22 Profession Kits bought. I have 0 clue what they run for on both servers but I'm pretty sure they aren't cheap.

The other option I had in mind was using HonorBuddy to level up my professions which by itself brought up more variables

-Do I use the public profiles provided in the profession forum?
-Do I go with a private profile maker, if so, how expensive would it be to have 1-600 profiles for each profession?

Let me know what you experienced HB brethen out there think. Thank the heavens for HB, much kudos to the dev team.

Plans for the future after professions are finished: Pimp both of my guilds!

ERRRR.. I wrote a whole long reply and it got deleted.

First thing you should do is level up all the gathering professions. Mining, herb, skinning, fishing etc. Cooking is also very fast to level now in MoP. And you can make some decent money off it.

Every profession I have done, was with public profiles. Tailoring I did do by hand, but I used public profiles to farm the mats. Public profiles do work. Private ones probably have more time and effort put into them. With that being said.. it's all a matter of what works. The only things I've ever paid for are routines. All the public Profession Buddy ones seem to work just fine. These are the professions I've leveled with public profiles.

1-600 Engineering
1-600 Alchemy
1-600 First Aid
1-600 Mining
1-600 Herb
1-600 Archaeology (pointless profession)
Working on Blacksmithing
Working on Inscription

PS- I tried to send you a pm with a link but it says you aren't accepting.

Throw me that PM if possible DX123 very interested in any info regards that as I am about to get into it as well.

I highly appreciate your reply, I will try to fix that, I would very much like a PM from you haha.

In regards to using the profiles to level the professions you listed, did you have to buy mats off of the auction house for them to work or did it actually go out and farm the mats then level up the professions? Let me know. -TGS

Most I farmed. Buying them off the AH is way too expensive (for me anyway).

People pay top $ if you can farm mats and level up the chosen profession at the same time :P it can be done

UPDATE:

Almost finished with my primary professions goal!

So far:

Horde: All professions finished and level 25 guild!

Alliance: Jewelcrafting and Tailoring left, guild is level 11. Alliance is a bit harder since the server I'm on is a bit more PvE based, getting the guild going has been tough but it's slowly climbing.

All of this thanks to Honorbuddy, without you guys/gals and your hard work none of this would've even been thinkable!

Much thanks,

TGS

Posted this in a few threads already, but here it is again. I am working on 1-700 for every profession to be a public release when/after WoD drops. It will be based off farming the mats on semi private profiles (public with a twist) with a premium version going to be completely private profiles.
