Im no mod but I already see threads popping up about this. So lets keep everything in one thread. I will update this as new info comes in.

GB working with patch 4.0.1 : NO

HB working with patch 4.0.1 : NO

Some things to think about while we experience this downtime.....

Why do we have this downtime? A few reasons.

1.Every patch changes the way GB and HB interact with WoW. If these are not adjusted then neither bot can communicate with WoW.

2. There is a chance that Blizzard could sneak some code in that would detect either bot. We have seen this happen in the past either through warden or other means. Therefore the entire patch must be looked over to ensure it is good for botting.

3. None of the CCs that worked prior to 4.0.1 will work now. So updates need to come not only from the HB devs but from the CC devs. This could be as simple as a Deathknight whom recieved only a few changes, to a Paladin that got an entire overhaul. You will need to wait till the devs update their CCs.

Things to consider before posting.

1. You pay to keep this bot current and safe. You are not entitled to a credit of any kind while the bot is down so dont post saying you deserve that. While the bot is down you are paying for the devs to go over it with a fine tooth comb.

2. Even the devs at this point do not know how long this downtime will be. They are sorry you will now have to foreclose on your home because you count on GB/HB as your sole income, but this is all part of the deal. Its a cat and mouse game between Blizzard and we need to stay ahead.

3. The devs are pretty much going to work all day and night to bring it back online so dont think they are slacking. Remember while the bot is down they dont have sales. No sales means no money and so on. Complaining that they are taking to much time is rude.

4. Did I mention that being rude to the devs wont move them along any faster? In fact they probably will never read this thread as they are too busy updating the bots. the "are we there yet?" posts can be avoided. When its ready, you will know.

5. No you cant help them speed things up. It would be wise just to participate in updated and active threads that are post 4.0.1 and not any of the older obsolete threads.

6. I cant think of anything else.

Support the devs and leave them be till things get done. Then everything will be back to normal. Be ready for all the mods to be watching the forums close for stupid threads and posts. Mutes will no doubt be handed out.

ill allow it, but really its against the rules to make an "Official" post unless your a Mod or Staff.

I have even done this exact same thing but all I think the people do is download it, have an issue, and instantly ignore everything and make a new thread.

This is the official whine thread. OMG HB AND GB IS DOWN thread.

This is not the Official announcement thread of any kind. And the front page is actually seperate from the forum.

But since this thread has derailed in a matter of 15 min then you mods might as well delete it and ill log back in when I post my updated CCs.

i dont know what your problem is, but you really need to chill out.
 
Thank you Mordd and thank you to all the Devs. I know you are all working hard to make everything work with the new patch.

I plan on using the down time to check out the new patch, play on the AH, clean out my banks, clean up my computer, etc. Good time for me to do some computer upgrades and cleaning while its down.

I don't know how people could possibly give Mordd a hard time. He has some of the best CCs and profiles ever created, and devotes a hell of a lot of time to HB and this community.

I agree, when I see thread by Mordd, I take it just as seriously as if it was posted by a mod. if not more.
 
After looking at those 10 level 80s that one guy got while using Mords profiles I was extremely tempted to make an ally character but I really wanna stay horde.. even though the only reason for staying is blood elfs.. I will probably change over soon :P and I shall become a fan haha.

Dropping the word "Official" in the title, when you are not a part of the staff, or moderation team, is against the rules.

CnG is being nice by allowing this thread to stay open.

We don't really care if you guys think Mordd's posts are an 'official' source of info. They're not. If you didn't hear it from the actual HB staff, or super-mods (Tony/Ski) then take it with a grain of salt. Even CnG/Fpsware/etc aren't really allowed to make 'official' threads about certain content.

I'll just put this out there.... Everyone voting for mod this mod that whatever is a direct slap in the face to everyone who contributes to this community. I may not have posted profiles here but I sure the hell have spent hours in chat and pm's helping people as many others here. So lets just make everyone a mod....

edit: Last I heard Bossland is.... the Boss.... nuff said

It's only a direct slap if you take it that way. The guy created THE DK and Paladin CCs and has the only working 1-70 questing profile suite currently available, amongst other things. I'm not giving him props to take away from anyone else ... he is simply an awesome guy and deserves not to be treated like an ass for trying to help people out.
 
I always thought that when you became an adult, things would be different. But no... Everybody is still just a whiny little gossiping teenager that is so injured by whatever everyone else says. they need to rant, piss, and moan for hours. It's shameful... Close this stupid thread.
 
No one treated him like an ass.... it's all in the context of things.
Anyway I'm out, I obviously view things much different then the masses of this community
