MoP Gathering Profiles

As we all know, the beginning of an expansion is the best opportunity for making serious bank quickly. It also helps level a toon as you get experience by herbing or mining.

I know it will take some time for the bot to work with MoP, but I'm curious as to whether anyone with beta access is currently working on profiles, and also how long after MoP is released will it take for HB to begin working.

While it would be nice to have working profiles the day of release, there's no guarantee HB will even be updated for it then. I'm sure people will release "some" profiles, but expect most people to retain their private ones for the first month to maximize profits/efficiency.

I have beta access, but not working on profiles since who knows what else may change (e.g. if they shift the new continent and all the hotspots change, it'll be a waste of time).

Once HB is updated for use with MoP, I'm going to go nuts with making profiles.

Good question, does anyone remember how long it took for HB to be up and running after Cata dropped? for the life of me, I cant remember. I want to say it was fairly soon but I can't be certain.

I'll be def making herbing/ore/fishing and grinding profiles when MOP comes out. Even if HB isnt ready to use them I'll still be making profiles as best I can

Yea, you are going to want to make your own profiles this more than likely. Smart people would wait a few months to release theirs so their markets aren't destroyed due to over lappers.

I read a post by Tony that said HB will be ready for MoP with confidence. You know how that goes though. I got the impression they feel good about it at least. I think maybe the only ironing out they would have to do would be with custom classes since abilities are changed constantly in beta and probably will be a lot different on release. Meaning the foundation could be there for the bot but the class routines would be bugged all to hell.

It was a lot longer than that. Even if it was that fast, getting decent new CustomClasses and profiles up took a lot longer.

The beta changes constantly, this would be no use. Every beta patch would likely mean they somewhat have to start over.

Best you can do is just suck it up and level your first character manually. It's all new content so you might even enjoy it

I started making my own profiles in Cata when honorbuddy was super popular. I always thought they were hard to make but when I sat down and figured out how to make them, I was shocked they were so easy. Too many people were getting reported on my server because there were 5-6 people on the same flight path. My catfish spot was one of the best spots in the game as no one was ever there and I was raking in 15k a night off fish and waters.

I'll be making my own MoP profiles here shortly but I will not be sharing them with anyone until a couple months have passed. I'd rather not have to fight other bots for herbs, ore and leather using my profile.
