Monk build for Ghom?

As the topic suggests, can someone help me out on a monk build for ghom? I've tried a lot of things and they seem to not do enough damage.
 
Monks are shit tier when it comes to solo atm. They just don't have enough dmg output when compared to other classes. Patch 2.1 is supposedly going to buff Monks and their set items.
 
I do it on T5 with around 43-46 GPH. But you really need gear to do that, as of now Monk is really underperforming. I am actually very well geared, I am in top 100 world on Dex, Ele damage and Ele damage to Elites as Lightning Monk. And still even mediocre WD would clear as fast on T6, if not faster. So it's chicken and egg problem, you bot to get gear, and to bot more efficiently you need more gear.

I mainly keep doing Ghom for XP. In my opinion T6 chest runs as tempest rush monk are better legendaries per hour. I get 6-7 legendaries per hour average in 24-48 hour sessions there vs. only 3-4 on Ghom.

The build is standard one for SoH - Deadly Reach/Tail Kick, but with exploding palm with debuff instead of dashing strike, use fire companion and Unity passive and you should be set. Conviction Mantra.

Here's what I know:

I've put an asspot of time into Monk as my primary spec since the first hour of beta for Diablo 3. I've accrued every single piece of gear I've hoped to find in the 550ish paragon levels since RoS. After a week of gearing witch doctor that was more powerful than my monk, I came to understand the monk better: the monk sucks balls and Blizzard needs to fix it.
 
Try to get a immune to poison dmg if possible. I have that on my WD which makes ghom farming lovely :D
 
1) find the furnace
2) find mara
3) wothf:fof

its the only way you'll get sub 20 second kills in t6
 
My In Depth Guide to Killing T6 Ghom as a Monk
Step 1: Create a new Hero.
Step 2: Select the Witch Doctor class.
Step 3: Powerlevel to 70.
Step 4: Do chests runs for 24 hours.
Step 5: Enjoy killing Ghom in under 20 seconds.
Step 6: Kill more Ghom for a few days.
Step 7: Enjoy killing Ghom in under 10 seconds.

Try to rift at T6? Quite rewarding depend on RNG, sometimes it give me 6leg/H, sometimes it just 4.5-5L/H.
Need very well-geared. Mine is Fire Lashing Kick Build.

running t4 rift with mine ~1.2mio dps / 120% lightning dmg / plvl 500+
if you got the necklesses with immunity try GearSwap
to turn in bloodshards (for longer afk sessions) use armory or Kadalaspree

rifts/bountys are much more likely to fail / stuck since the profiles are much more complex but in terms of AoE / Surv i still like my Monk.
