Monk/Barb for farming act one inferno.

Hey I'm just wondering what you feeling is the more effective(Less likely to die and kill faster) for farming act 1 champion packs in inferno.

I have a monk that does not seem to have any issues however I've never had a barb so I cant really do a comparison.

With the bot limitations I'm going to list/look for feedback on the other classes as well however I don't think that will be able to safely handle inferno champion farming.

Will it be able to take a single hit from something like mortor/molten if that doesn't happen? And have MF gear that wont cost 200M while doing so?

I don't think you should do this in MF Gear. If you get some very good pieces it's fine but the idea to farm inferno is to get 5 Nephalem buff and get yellow items every champion kill so survivability is way more important than MF gear! Inferno Champions are hard to kill lol.

Personally I don't have either of these classes(monk and barb) my farmer is a Tank Wizard!

Using barb at the moment with that act1 farming profile.
180mf without neph buff. Gear cost around 1.5million in total.
Wep was 2million for a 900dps 400 Loh wep (my AH is retardedly expensive - i watch those "budget char guides" people do and cant buy one item for the price of the others on it)
So for 3.5million. it hardly dies, well sometimes it will die to desecrator plagued arcane enchanted.
But other than that is good.
Ive cleared my whole stash so ill let you know how it goes after a few hours of botting.

You will want ot use MF gear if you can. The higher your MF gear the more affixes you get in terms of item quality on your rares. Not many people now this.
For egsample 100mf might get you a rare, but there are 6 stages of rares. I like this, it's a good idea of how it may work. I did not figured it that way, what a friend told me he has read somewhere is that all Boss will drop many items let's say for example 10 items. With low MF you would end with like 3-4 blues and 6-7 white items. Having more MF would enhance this by turning whites into blues or yellows and then you would get like 5-6 blues, 2-3 yellows and 1-2 whites.

I still think this would be valid but also I like your idea that more MF would give more affixes. Gonna test this out a bit to see. Thanks for tip!

The only thing MF does not effect is item level i believe.
Although been running 180mf all day. Found countless items. and countless times bugging out on stashing haha!.
but found 2 legendaries today. the stupid monk fist wep at 580dps.. atleast it had a socket and another tals armor.
Got no good rares. well a few that were close and might sell but nothing really stand out.
I hate seeing perfect rolls on low items though.
Got a really good 63 1 handed barb wep. 800 loh. 90% crit 160 str socket. no + damage so it sits at like 300 damage lol. BASTARD!
Will give an update as soon as i can get loot rules sorted out. Just cant find one that im happy with and im a lousy programmer tahts why i donate to people haha

See it for yourself! What I see there, the graphs speaks a lot. Ilvl has nothing to do with MF, affixes neither. The boss or goblin have a usual drop table and wearing MF will make the loots within the table to change from white to blues and yellows. With more MF you will find more, giving more chance for good stuff. But not many of those will be good, not better than farming without MF, just more chance of getting rares makes more chances of getting good rares. Ilvl Ratio remains the same.

i think that was posted before he knew about the affix thing STATED DIRECTLY in blizzard Official Magic Find page. Yes, MF does matter for affixes. It is stated directly by blizzard.
