Hi

I am aware of the famous charge back scam which involves the customer buying a virutal item and then disputing the item with paypal to get their money back.

I was wondering if Moneybookers is safe for the seller to use, as in does it prevent the buyer from disputing the order in the future.

Thanks.

Moneybookers is a lot better than paypal for chargebacks. Check or wire transfer is always best.

I read somewhere on this forum that you could ask for money in some "special" way on paypal to protect yourself when selling gold, sadly i dont remember the specifics but the payment method didnt have the option to dispute it.

Interesting would want to hear more about that if you remember. :)

I found the thread here: http://www.buddyforum.de/showthread...uyer-first-scam&highlight=paypal+selling+gold

Tell them to send the money via Masspay
if they dont want to do it just fuck on them the maybe will scamm.

Raged links to a better guide on the mmowned forums thou:

Step 4. HOW TO TRADE THE INFO FOR MONEY!
create a money request and send it to the paypal you want to receive money from (do not under any circumstances just go "kk, here is my paypal, please send me XXX" - you will get scammed for "item not received".

Now in the details of the transaction on paypal make sure to add this

"digital delivery of an intangible world of warcraft item - by accepting, buyer waives paypal buyer protection policy"

So in the off chance they try to scam you and Dispute the payment, paypal will lean in your favor, an let you keep the $$.
