Mixed mode idea/help with delay between modes

Is there a way to farm/gather for 45 minutes to an hour and then que for a couple BG then farm/gather for another 45 mins then do 2 more BG etc? I want to do BG to help get gear but farming is more important. Any ideas on how i can do that?
