Mix Herb/Ore Farming, Or Specific

Right now I am farming Herbs and Ore at the same time using the Safe Profile 2.5. I sell the ore on the AH and to private buyers, and I send all the herbs and eternals to my main to make Darkmoon Cards for the Insane grind. I do this to still make a bit of profit while still making cards.

Would it be better to just farm all herbs or all ore at once? Then just rotate every other night herbs/ore? Just curios what others do to maximize collection and profit.

I havn't played wow in 8 months or botted.. but if your getting more herbs/ore then you can sell in a day on your server while collecting both at the same time.. then stick with that.. if you aren't collecting more then you can sell each day then start logging how much gold you make on a piece of paper in 2 days of botting for both at the same time.. and then chart how much you gather if you switch it back and forth.

I would assume you would run out of ore on the evening of the herbing day and wouldn't have any to put on AH until the next morning of the Ore day.. So I generally try to gather both at the same time.. I don't like having "outs" per say in my inventory. Every server is different though so that's why I say just chart out and see what works best for you.

I have encountered a similar situation as well. I have Alchemy/JC/BS/Enchanting as well as Mining/Herbalism, and I retrieve all the mats for my professions via GB (mining/herb). Problem is I need to farm different areas to get all the things that I need to sustain all of my professions. I had been switching off, trying to fill needs rather than pre-emptively farming, but I found it too be inefficient. I have instead found the best results when I just sit in one spot for 8hrs farming for the next week of mats and then going to the next thing, which is pretty inefficient. It's like a restaurant owner, sure he could be helping in the kitchen but there are better uses of his time (draw your own analogy to GB)

As of now,
Both Herb/Ore with a custom Scholozar Profile. Everything is mailed to my bank alt.
Bank alt's bank has all tabs bought and filled with herb, ores, eternals, and gems.
Private buyer at 10g a stack for Adder's Tongue, 10g a stack for Saronite, and 9g a stack for all other herbs.
I AH sparingly the leftover's of the herbs, and smelt the rest of the saronite to bars. If more than 20 stacks, I will use for Titanium bars, if not, I will vendor for a good chunk of gold.

Every 7 days I evaluate my gold situation, if I have more than need for the following week, then I will sell to real life friends for $3/k. But recently I have just been saving up for the Cataclysm dump. I'm sitting at around 35k atm and climbing steadly.
