Missing gold?!

So today when i loged on to my accout, my main char was mising all his gold ( not alot, like 3-4k ) and his bags where Cleaned out, few items i found in the Bank. is this the work of a nice hacker who let me keep all items, even stuff for OS ( and only took from him ) or do blizzard go in and remove gold ?, few weeks back i payed alot of gold for Icc10 boosts and had to wire alot of gold from alliance to horde via Neutral Ah, and used a friends account to do so. it all seems mighty strance. ill ofc chance my password. but do i try and get a Gm on the matter or leave it be?
All the gold iv gotten is ofc from GB :P

okay, just found my Dk in and outland instance looks like iv been hacked =( prick even respec him

If Blizzs do in such way... you will have at least 72hours ban, and in-game mail from GM "these items were deleted because of... bla bla bla"

So I think it was a hack
 
Sad sad day =( first time iv gotten hacked after 4 years of wow, thank god he dident do it a few weeks before where i had 60k on the account :P
 
I like using authenticator but it's a bitch to always have on you incase you want to login at lets say a friends house = P
 
buy a iphone or ipod touch and be happy with a free authenticator
 
At rare occasions the GM's (or an automated system) flags certain guild banks suspected to be involved in the gold selling business.
And by rare, i mean it happened to me once in the past year.

But in your case. I'd say it's either someone you know who was interested into certain items or simply a "kind?" hacker.
Not to mention, that in my case. ONLY the gold in the guildbanks got wiped. the gold on the toons was intact.

So i'd suggest to start up a ticket and act dumb and say you got hacked.
Or just let it go and change the password if the loss isn't too great.
Nothing you can't recover using GB/HB anyway =)
 
Well i got my gold back, and the few items the guy had stolen, still dont understand why he dident sell all my items for extra cash
 
you should probably change your passwords and NOT give them to your 'friends' anymore :)
 
Might wanna do a few scans, if you're a veteran, seems unlikely you fell for phishing. Soooo.....
