Mining/Herb Botting on a PvP server - Best Practices?

I recently moved my toons to a PvP server to join a raid guild. My bot has been running for 20 mins now in Twilight Highlands and I haven't seen *any* players but I know it will happen sooner or later.

Any Best Practices for gather botting on a PvP server?

I bot in a pvp server, no big issues so far. I just bot/farm during off peak hrs
