Minimizing Detection

I'm not trying to avoid detection, just minimize it.

After I'm inevitably banned from the near-certain, upcoming banwave, and I , are these the next steps to minimize detection?

  1. Create a new email.
  2. Register new BNet account under new email.
  3. Purchase new WoW license on new BNet account.
  4. Backup HB folder.
  5. Format the hard drive.
  6. Re-download WoW.
  7. Reinstall.
  8. Copy old HB folder to new drive.

Also, I'm wondering:

  1. Does a fresh OS installation create new unique hardware identifiers like MAC address, HW Profile, CPU ID, etc.?
  2. Can I partition the HD into 2 partitions (i.e. C: and D: ), install the OS and WoW on C:, and just format C: every time it's banned?
  3. Do I need to name my PC something different every time since it's going to be connecting from the same IP address?

How do u know that youl get banned in banwave? is it like 100% certain that people get banned once they use the bot or is it just highly likely that it is so, i used this bot like years ago, and my acc is still fine. on the other hand, i havent used it in 3 years so i dont know what has changed. is it that easily detected now ?

Blizz autoban blacklisted. He can always find guys banned for same reason at the same time and it will look like banwave.
Change IP. Save registry from clean windows setup. Restore it once banned.
VM are perfect for this. But you loose performance(ofc if you need it).

When it comes to ban waves you never really know what it is that is going to get to get you banned. You can try and hide your botting usage inside of a VM but you will need to make sure that you only use it for wow and nothing else to make sure you to do not contaminate it with cookies from sites that you would normally use or whatever it is Blizzard is looking for to profile you. Now even that is arguably faulty according to a random person on the internet who claims to have worked for blizzard. I think he is lying but getting the vm to look like something else entirely is going to take some effort to get it done correctly. Maybe throw in a vpn on the vm as well. I was never hit by the ban waves but I have lost a couple accounts to botting and gold buying (Don't do face to face frfr). The bot would either get stuck because I was not using the latest scripts from the buddystore or SVN updates. I would also probably get reported because of my behavior. You want to tweak the bot a little bit to change the mount settings so that it doesn't mount and then dismount only a few feet later. Keep your scripts up to date and just don't bot all out. People are going to say yeah 24/7 is fine... shortly there after they will be banned faster than you are I who are trying to make the bot blend in. Just have it run normal schedules like you would normally play. Finally you can't afk the bot as it stands right now even with the latest Kicks profiles or whatever script you want. There are still some spots that the bot will get stuck on (it looks like your bot is seizing/running in a corner or on some cart handle :D ) or some quest it will have the damn no item ID bug. I have finally gotten my bot to a level 100 recently by botting in the background while I do stuff. I have a dual monitor setup so that I can keep the bot up in its own screen at all times so that I can catch it if it gets stuck or a human player starts to take too much interest in my activities. Honestly I think this is what has allowed me to get my first 1 to 100 botted toon is by being around the bot at all times even if I am not actively focusing on it.Final words of wisdom straight from the FAQ: "IF YOU BOT YOU WILL BE CAUGHT EVENTUALLY". Don't bot on an account that you can not afford to loose. Be smart about it and post in the forums if you have any more questions or bugs that you may have found along the way. Seriously though, play with the settings get the best profiles and use updated scripts. You won't break anything that a simple unzip of the file won't fix. GLHF One more thing the bot is not detected I can attest to this from my own botting practices. YES that can change on a moments notice but its going to be player reports and server side algorithms that are going to give you away.

Thanks! How does one go about backing up and restoring the registry please? I'm guessing some personal research is involved. Might you suggest any particular software? Thanks!
